A research on tigsik was done by the team in order to gain basic information and examples of and about tigsik. Information was taken from published articles, newspapers, internet and other Bicol literary works.
To find out more about of tigsik in an in-depth manner, Ashley Saludes and Krizzia Mei Esperanza with Joer John R. Turiano as the cameraman conducted interviews with people who are mainly involved in the aforementioned subject matter. The group traveled as far as Iriga City which is one or one and a half hours away from Naga City to interview a key informant knowledgeable on the topic and at the same time conduct ambush interviews to some people to check the popularity of tigsik normal.
To know the outlook of people regarding the topic, the group
conducted surveys regarding fundamental knowledge about
tigsik. Respondents of the survey were people of Naga City. A Seminar-Workshop was also conducted to
verify how the youth would respond to learning the vernacular
literature.
