Davao City is  a place of peace and order. It is also  known for its abundance in agriculture and industries. The City of Davao is also widely known for its hospitality. It is the most promising city in Mindanao.  What the majority don’t know is that within the City of Davao, one of its districts is slowly rising out from the shadow of the name Davao City. That is Toril District.  Located south of Davao City and covering 1/8 of its population, this district is slowly standing up on its own feet to become a city.

            This district has a unique contribution to the production of Davao City.  Like other districts, Toril contributes in agriculture and industry of Davao City. On other aspects, such as transportation, the survey says that Toril District has the most leading number of vehicles traveling everyday and is increasing by 2% annually. Most of these vehicles are motorcycles. Toril District is now becoming known as one of the Motorcycle Capitals of the Philippines.

            Furthermore, Toril has many beautiful resorts like Lolengs Mountain Resort, Eden Nature Park, Vales Beach Resort, Ocean View Resort and Badak Beach Resort. These resorts promote tourism in Toril District.

            Toril also become a center for infant business industries, growing and increasing in number every year. Some of these are Supermarkets, Grocery Stores, Fastfood Chains, Hardwares, and Pharmacies.  In terms of education, the district has competent private and public schools that cater to the educational needs of the people.
